Tesla Illegally Silenced Workers on Job Issues, NLRB Judge Rules

Tesla Inc. violated federal labor law by instructing workers at a Florida facility not to discuss wages, suspensions, or other job-related matters with co-workers or outside parties, a National Labor Relations Board judge ruled.

The electric car manufacturer also illegally required workers to follow the “chain of command” on disciplinary issues by barring them from bringing complaints about work conditions to higher-level managers, Administrative Law Judge Michael Rosas said in his Tuesday ruling.
