Tesla Hit With Worker’s Mass Layoff Notice Violation Lawsuit

Tesla Inc. fired more than 10% of its workforce without providing the advance notice required for a mass layoff, a former worker at one of the electric automaker’s California facilities says in a lawsuit.

The Elon Musk-helmed company fired approximately 14,000 people earlier this year without giving them the 60 days of advance written notice mandated under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification—or WARN—Act and a similar state law, according to the complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
