Tesla Attempts to Pause EEOC Case Until State Lawsuit Resolution

Tesla Inc. is asking a California federal court to temporarily halt the EEOC’s lawsuit against the automaker, which alleges a hostile work environment for Black workers, pending the outcome of state litigation on the same issue.

The Elon Musk-owned company asked the US District Court for the Northern District of California to pause all proceedings in the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s case “pending the completion of state court actions,” in a motion to stay dated Dec. 18.
