The Tenth Circuit affirmed an OSHA workplace violence citation against a Colorado in-patient psychiatric hospital found to have failed to protect its employees from assaults by patients.
All of the abatement measures suggested by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration to address violence workers at Cedar Springs Inc.'s facility experienced by patients were economically feasible, the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit held.
The Tenth Circuit also upheld the decision to treat two hospitals as a single-employer for the workplace violence citation.
