The EEOC has filed a race discrimination suit against Memphis, Tenn.-based Aaron Thomas Company Inc. and Supreme Staffing LLC , the commission said Friday.
The companies allegedly violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act by refusing to refer or hire Black applicants for low-skill positions since at least January 2018, according to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The companies also allegedly assigned Black employees to less desirable and lower-paying positions and terminated Black employees because of their race.
