A temporary worker’s $20,000 deal with a staffing firm and its client, both accused of stiffing her on overtime, started off strong after a federal judge indicated the settlement’s approval is likely.
The worker, who handled supply chain issues for Frequency Electronics Inc. through ADO Professional Solutions Inc., asked for an indicative ruling on the deal, which the parties reached during a pending appeal. Judge Brian M. Cogan of the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York said he would approve the deal if the Second Circuit remanded the case.
