Teamsters Lose Challenge to Trump-era Trucking Safety Rules

A federal appeals court in Washington, D.C., rejected a union challenge to the Trump administration’s regulatory changes that eased rules governing maximum hours commercial truckers can operate.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters failed to show that the 2020 amendments to a pair of trucking rules lacked the type of support required by the Administrative Procedure Act, the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit said Tuesday.
