Teachers Union Hit With Claims of Anti-Semitism in EEOC Charge

The National Education Association is accused of implementing policies and promoting a culture of anti-semitism, according to a discrimination charge filed with US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

The Brandeis Center claims the NEA discriminates against its Jewish members, violating Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The NEA and its affiliate unions represent 3 million teachers and other public education staff.

The union allegedly gives preference to non-White races and ethnicities when selecting members for governance roles and other opportunities, but excludes Jewish members by classifying them as White, according to the charge document that the Brandeis Center released ...
