A former West Virginia assistant superintendent and a teacher fired for publishing offensive tweets about Muslims informed a federal court of a pending settlement to resolve a free speech claim, according to a court filing.
US District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia Judge Robert C. Chambers stayed the case and instructed the parties to submit an agreed order of dismissal by Nov. 24. No details of the proposed deal are publicly available yet.
