Target’s Shipt Gets New Chance to Push Lawsuit Into Arbitration

Target Corp.‘s grocery delivery platform Shipt Inc. will get a second shot at compelling a worker to arbitrate her lawsuit accusing the company of misclassifying its employees as independent contractors.

A California state appellate court Wednesday vacated its previous ruling that had allowed Jade Green to stay in court to litigate her claims under the state’s Private Attorneys General Act, which allows workers to sue for labor code violations on behalf of the state and other workers.
