Target Store Manager Advances Wage Suit, Gets Collective Status

Target Corp. must face a certified Fair Labor Standards Act collective of executive team leaders in Brooklyn and Chicago who allege they were misclassified as exempt from overtime rules, a federal judge in New York ruled.

The evidence raises a genuine factual dispute as to whether their primary duty was management, Judge Pamela K. Chen of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York said Wednesday.
