Target Pledges to End Emissions From Broader Operations by 2040

Target Corp. said it’s targeting zero emissions from its operations and supply chain by 2040, part of a new sustainability program that also includes greening its own store brands.

The retailer’s new commitment also includes zero waste to landfills in the U.S. and a goal to design its own private labels with materials that are recycled or sustainable. By 2030, Target said it wants to be the “market leader” for sustainable brands and shopping experiences.
