Takeda Prevails Over Sales Rep’s Race, Disability Bias Claims

Takeda Pharmaceuticals America Inc. convinced a federal court to toss an employee’s claims that the company discriminated against her for being a White woman with depression and PTSD.

Takeda sales representative Shannon Olson didn’t show any genuine fact dispute over whether Takeda took adverse action against her over her race or disability, the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida said Wednesday.

Judge Thomas Barber granted summary judgment to Takeda on all of Olson’s claims.
