Taboola Reveals DOJ Antitrust Probe of Company, Industry Hiring

Online ad marketer Taboola Inc. said the Justice Department’s antitrust division has launched a criminal investigation of the company and industry’s hiring practices.

“While there can be no assurances as to the ultimate outcome, the company does not believe that its conduct violated applicable law,” the New York-based company said in a May 4 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Taboola, which said it became aware of the DOJ’s criminal probe last month, didn’t disclose details of the investigation. Taboola didn’t immediately reply to a request for comment.
