T-Mobile’s Worker Feedback Group Not Company Union: NLRB (2)

T-Mobile USA Inc.’s nationwide program to collect customer service representatives’ complaints about work isn’t an unlawful company-controlled union, the National Labor Relations Board ruled Sept. 30.

The program, dubbed T-Voice, primarily functioned as a “suggestion box” for worker concerns, a three-member NLRB panel said. T-Voice had no direct dealings with management concerning wages, hours, workplace disputes, or other issues traditionally under the purview of labor organizations, the panel said, overturning an administrative law judge who had ordered the company to disband T-Voice.
