Syneos Health Inc. can shed one worker’s disability bias claims and some would-be class allegations, but must face the rest of a discrimination suit tied to its Covid-19 vaccination requirement, a federal judge said.
A worker who sought a vaccine exemption based on her pregnancy fell short of alleging she faced discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the US District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina said. The Sept. 27 order also tossed out allegations filed on behalf of a proposed subclass of workers with “natural immunity” to Covid-19.
