A Philadelphia-area surgical center defeated claims that it failed to provide a a former employee with sufficient private space to pump breast milk without interruption, a federal judge said.
The worker failed to provide evidence showing Abington Surgical Center didn’t give her reasonable break time for pumping or an adequate place to do so, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said. She also failed to show that her employer fired her for taking pump breaks and complaining about the space provided, the Monday opinion said.
