The US Supreme Court won’t take up a challenge to US policies for issuing green cards brought by Indian immigrants stuck in limbo for years on temporary employment-based visas.
The justices’ rejection Monday leaves in place a Ninth Circuit holding that added delays based on changes in visa projections don’t conflict with the law and that any relief must come from the executive or legislative branches.
Immigrant workers from India have brought cases in multiple circuit courts claiming they’ve unfairly had years added to wait times for permanent residency after they initially became eligible to apply.
