Subjective Take on Boss’s Texts Not Enough to Prove Harassment

A Michigan movie theater defeated a manager’s appeal in a suit alleging sexual harassment by her supervisor and that she was denied promotion, transferred, and fired because she’s a woman, the Sixth Circuit ruled.

Terra Wargo pointed to texts from her new general manager at MJR Partridge Creek Digital Cinema 14 and his recurring invitations to dine with him. The texts stated he would teach Wargo all he knew and show her everything, she should trust him, and she would learn more than she realized.
