Structure Therapeutics Inc. must defend its former chief financial officer’s sexual harassment lawsuit in court because her claims are covered by a federal law that bans mandatory arbitration of such claims.

Dr. Ding Ding didn’t waive the right to bring sexual harassment claims in court by initiating arbitration on claims not covered by the Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Act, Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley of the US District Court for the Northern District of California ruled Tuesday.
