Stericycle Gets Former Employee’s Overtime Wage Lawsuit Tossed

Stericycle Inc. escaped a former employee’s proposed collective action alleging the medical waste disposal company knowingly failed to adequately pay overtime wages, after she failed to comply with court orders.

Judge Andrea R. Wood of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois dismissed the case without prejudice Thursday. Tierra Holliday’s suit was stayed in October 2024 after the parties agreed her claims were subject to an arbitration agreement.
