Stellantis has put 570 employees in its Michigan and Indiana plants on temporary layoff due to “storage constraints” arising from the UAW-led strikes, it says in a statement.
- Layoffs affect 520 in its Trenton, Michigan engine complex and 50 in its Kokomo, Indiana casting operations
- About 70 workers in its Toledo, Ohio machining operations also had their last day on Sept. 22
