States, EEOC End Suit Over Trump-Era Diversity Data Policy (1)

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission settled a lawsuit brought by six states over a past policy that allegedly hindered efforts to combat workplace discrimination by restricting their access to workforce diversity data.

The litigation, filed against the EEOC by California, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, and New Jersey in October, was deemed moot after agency Chair Charlotte Burrows (D) reversed the Trump-era data restrictions in April.
