State Officials Urge Court to Pause DACA in Light of Biden Order

Eight attorneys general involved in a lawsuit challenging the legality of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program are pointing at the Biden administration’s recent efforts to preserve DACA as proof the court should move to set it aside.

The states, led by Texas, in December revived their 2018 challenge to the Obama-era program for undocumented immigrants who came to the U.S. as children after DACA was reinstated to its original form by a New York federal court.
