The number of visas that US embassies and consulates issued over the past year have rebounded dramatically from pandemic averages, but still trail pre-Covid issuance rates, according to the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
For the 12 months ending in July, the State Department issued more than 498,000 nonimmigrant visas per month, a 185% increase from monthly averages during the pandemic, according to the report the organization released Tuesday.
