The State Department issued 205,000 visas to temporary and seasonal workers in the first half of fiscal year 2024, the agency announced.
Both that figure and the overall 5.2 million in temporary visas issued between October and March broke previous records, the agency said in an update on visa processing numbers Monday.
The agency said it’s bolstered its ability to handle historically high demand for travel to the US with technological solutions and expanded use of interview waivers for some visa applicants.
