An Oklahoma state university violated Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act by denying tenure to a transgender professor because she didn’t conform to gender stereotypes and retaliating against her after she filed a sex discrimination charge, the Justice Department alleged in a lawsuit filed March 30 in federal district court (United States v.
