A Starbucks barista again lost her bid to hold an election to remove the union at a cafe in Buffalo, N.Y., after the National Labor Relations Board refused to overturn an agency official’s decision not to allow the vote to move forward.
The NLRB’s three-member panel ruled Thursday that barista Ariana Cortes’ petition for review raised “no substantial issues” warranting a challenge to Regional Director Linda Leslie’s decision.
