NLRB Administrative Law Judge Michael Silverstein held Wednesday that a dress code provision restricting clothing with logos at the New York City Starbucks Roastery Reserve cafe was illegally broad.
The dress code allows for one pin in support of a labor organization, but prohibits pins advocating for personal, political, or religious issues. It also restricts workers from wearing clothing that shows large designs or logos, according to the ruling.
