Starbucks Loses Another Anti-Union Case Before Labor Board Judge

Starbucks Corp. engaged in illegal union-busting conduct at two stores in the Salt Lake City area that voted to unionize in the summer of 2022, a National Labor Relations Board judge ruled.

The coffee giant’s labor law violations included disciplining a worker for his union activities, more strictly enforcing rules in response to union organizing, coercively interrogating employees about their union activities and those of their coworkers, and stopping staff from posting union-related materials on bulletin boards, Administrative Law Judge John Giannopoulos held Tuesday.
