Starbucks Faces Labor Board Bid for Nationwide Court Order (1)

Starbucks Corp. is the target of another National Labor Relations Board request for a federal court order to reinstate a fired union activist and bar the company from violating its workers’ labor law rights in stores across the country.

NLRB Detroit Regional Director Elizabeth Kerwin told a federal judge Tuesday that a preliminary injunction is necessary to prevent Starbucks from “purging the Ann Arbor store of the Union’s leadership and crushing employee activism in Michigan and nationwide.”
