Former Starbucks Corp CEO Howard Schultz violated federal labor law by inviting a worker to quit because she engaged in union activity, a National Labor Relations Board judge ruled.

Schultz telling a worker “if you’re not happy at Starbucks, you can go work for another company” during a company listening tour event ran afoul of the National Labor Relations Act, the board said in its Wednesday decision.
