Starbucks Corp. lost its bid to appeal a National Labor Relations Board judge’s decision permitting agency prosecutors to offer evidence related to a parallel effort to get a court order against the company.

Starbucks waited seven weeks to file a special appeal to the administrative law judge’s evidentiary ruling, which was too late under the agency’s procedural rules, the NLRB held in a divided decision Tuesday.
