Starbucks Commits Rash of Labor Law Violations, NLRB Judge Says

Starbucks Corp. committed a slew of unfair labor practices at a pair of Northern California stores where workers organized but didn’t elect union representation, a National Labor Relations Board judge ruled.

The coffee chain violated federal labor law in about a dozen different ways, from disciplining and denying work opportunities to an employee because of her union activities to instructing a worker against talking about the union, Administrative Law Judge Eleanor Laws said in her Friday decision.
