Staffing Firm Liable for Lost Work After Visa Form Forgery (1)

A Louisville, Ky., information technology staffing company is vicariously liable for a supervisor’s loss of work caused by his visa-holding subordinate’s submission of forged paperwork in a petition to extend his stay, a U.S. court ruled.

V-Soft Consulting Group employee Saisivakumar Yerramneni was acting not only on his own behalf, but to benefit his employer, Judge Benjamin Beaton of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky ruled Wednesday.
