Aerotek Inc., a national staffing agency, reached a $3.5 million settlement with the EEOC to resolve allegations that the company failed to recruit and denied placement of temporary workers based on age, sex, and race, the agency announced on Friday.
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission accused the company of systemic violations of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967. The company denies that it engaged in such conduct, but agreed to resolve the matter rather than proceed to litigation.
