The U.S.'s first full-time Spanish-language horse racing announcer was paid substantially less than his English-language counterparts for calling horse races in New York, because they are white and he is a Black Latino, a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday says.

Luis Alberto Grandison filed the suit Tuesday against the New York Racing Association Inc. under federal, state, and city discrimination laws and a state pay equity law.
