A federal appeals court in New Orleans Friday temporarily halted an order requiring attorneys for Southwest Airlines to attend “religious-liberty training” put on by a conservative group involved in several recent high-profile US Supreme Court cases involving LGBTQ+ rights and abortion services.

A three-judge panel of the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit granted Southwest’s request to put on hold the court-ordered training for three in-house lawyers while it considers the airline’s appeal.
