Some US April Jobs Report Data Will Be Corrected Fri., BLS Says

Some April figures from the household survey will be corrected, though major measures such as the unemployment rate and participation rate were unaffected, US Bureau of Labor Statistics says on website.

• “While corrections will be made to many estimates, the impact is negligible”
• BLS cites “minor errors to weights associated with the introduction of a redesigned Current Population Survey (CPS) sample”
• April data will be corrected at time of publication of May data on Friday at 8:30 a.m. in Washington
