Sodexo Wins Final Dismissal of Housekeeper’s Whistleblower Suit

Sodexo Operations LLC successfully defeated a whistleblower retaliation suit brought against the food and facilities management services company by a housekeeper, convincing the Northern District of Florida that the former employee failed to claim any violations of the Florida Private Sector Whistleblower Act.

Plaintiff Laura Rivera worked for Sodexo between 2014 and 2016 and claimed she had been groped by a coworker. But she failed to show how she was retaliated against because she couldn’t prove the company broke any laws. The sexual harassment report, for instance, didn’t amount to a violation of the Florida Civil Rights Act.
