Small-Business Coalition Launches Campaign for Paid Family Leave

A group of organizations representing small-business owners has launched a national campaign for federal paid family and medical leave.

The coalition, announced Dec. 11, aims to create a platform for small-business owners who support a social-insurance paid family and medical leave program.

“Everyone talks about small business and what small-business owners need. But when you talk to small-business owners, it’s surprising,” said Amanda Ballantyne, director of The Main Street Alliance, one of the groups involved. “It gives real small-business owners the chance to stand up and talk about the policies that would help them and help their employees.”
