SLB Ignored Sex-Harassment Claims, Ex-Worker’s Lawyer Says (1)

SLB, the world’s biggest oil-field services company, ignored “obvious” steps for investigating allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination made by a female employee, her lawyer told a Houston jury weighing damage claims against the company.

Jessica Cheatham sued SLB, which changed its name from Schlumberger Ltd. last year, and is seeking more than $1 million in damages for what she allegeswas its failure to protect her from pervasive sexual harassment and effectively ending her career when she complained.
