Signet Jewelers Loses Again in Investor Suit Over Harassment

The company behind jewelry giants Kay, Jared, and Zales lost another bid to get dismissed a suit accusing it of misleading investors about sexual harassment.

Signet Jewelers Ltd. asked a federal judge to reconsider a 2018 ruling denying the company’s motion to dismiss. But Signet’s allegedly misleading statements are still actionable, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said June 11. It again denied the motion for judgment on the pleadings.

Investors sued the jewelry company for allegedly misleading them about a pervasive culture of sexual harassment that spawned a class action for discrimination by employees. ...
