Shot Mandates Limited in Tennessee as Florida Eyes Similar Law

Florida lawmakers began a special session Monday to enact limits and require broad exemptions for workplace vaccine mandates, following the lead of a handful of states including Tennessee where the governor signed similar limits into law.

The new Tennessee law and the Florida legislation are part of a broad Republican-led pushback against federal Covid-19 vaccine requirements covering health-care providers, businesses that hold federal contracts, and other private employers with 100 or more employees.
