Shoplet Settles Former Sales Executive’s Retaliation Lawsuit

Online office supply retailer Ellison Systems Inc., which does business as Shoplet, has settled a lawsuit alleging it fired an executive for protesting a scheme to overcharge the federal government, a federal court in Maryland said Tuesday.

Former senior vice president of sales David Harris alleged he was terminated for complaining about efforts to get federal agencies to pay higher prices for office supplies under a General Services Administration program rather than under the Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative.
