Sephora Can’t Dodge Pay-Delay Suit Despite Judge Recommendation

A New York federal judge ruled that Sephora USA Inc. cannot escape allegations that it failed to pay workers on a weekly basis, rejecting a magistrate judge’s recent recommendation for the case to be tossed

Judge Paul A. Engelmayer of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York in an order Thursday agreed with the majority of the federal courts within the Second Circuit that have found a private right of action for workers to pursue such lawsuits in the state.
