Sephora Beats Worker Suit Over Boss’s Text During Medical Leave

A Sephora USA Inc. employee with diagnosed mental health conditions didn’t raise triable issues on her disability and medical-leave bias claims, a Nashville federal judge ruled.

The US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee decision highlights the limits of job transfers as reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act. It also illustrates the difficulty of showing Family and Medical Leave Act interference from an employer briefly disturbing a worker who’s out for health reasons.
