The Senate labor panel’s top Republican says he has been stonewalled by the US Department of Labor in his inquiries over its handling of the rise of child labor violations across the country, according to a new letter.
Louisiana Bill Cassidy said in the letter dated Thursday the agency has for nearly six months failed to sufficiently respond to questions regarding potential failures in preventing the increase of children, particularly migrants, from being exploited for labor.
