Senate Panel Schedules Delayed Vote on Weil for DOL Wage Chief

The Senate labor committee is set to vote Aug. 3 on whether to advance the nomination of David Weil to head the U.S. Labor Department’s Wage and Hour Division, the panel announced.

• Weil led the same division during the Obama administration, from 2014-2017, earning a reputation among businesses for aggressive enforcement of minimum wage and overtime standards.
