Senate Labor Committee to Vote on EEOC Nominations (1)

The Senate’s labor committee plans to take up nominations for two positions on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission next week, setting both nominees up for a full Senate floor vote.

The Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee will vote July 30 on the nominations of Sharon Gustafson to be the agency’s general counsel and for Commissioner Charlotte Burrows (D) to serve a second term on the EEOC. Gustafson would give the workplace discrimination law enforcement agency its first Senate-confirmed general counsel in President Donald Trump’s administration.
